Join this live online learning event featuring The Phoenix Law Group, PLC with an update on the newest laws and regulations that affect PBMs, pharmacies, plans, and others involved in the prescription benefit industry, including the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). This webinar will also cover the U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, subsequent guidance issued by the Biden Administration, and the current status of state laws restricting access to medication abortion. The presentation will specifically address application of federal laws and guidance to state restrictions on abortion, including the just-issued conflicting court decisions in Texas and Idaho, and strategies for pharmacies, PBMs, and health plans to stay in compliance with the applicable laws.
 
After this session, attendees will be able to:

Cami Agena, Attorney

Cami Agena, Partner, Phoenix Law Group, PLC
Cami Agena is a 1995 graduate of Arizona State University School of Law and has been a PBM lawyer for over 20 years. After being in-house Assistant General Counsel at a PBM for more than five years, Cami brought her expertise to The Phoenix Law Group, PLC and now advises and represents clients in all aspects of the PBM industry, including regulatory compliance, contracting, and licensure. 

Laurel Wala, Partner, Phoenix Law Group, PLC
Laurel Wala is a 1992 honors graduate of Arizona State University’s College of Law and has been a PBM lawyer for over 20 years, including six years as in-house counsel at PCS/AdvancePCS (now CVS/Caremark).  Laurel helped found The Phoenix Law Group, PLC in 2002 and advises clients in the areas of regulatory compliance; ERISA; HIPAA; anti-kickback; clinical programs; pharmacy, client, rebate and vendor contracting; and licensing.
